Our aim is to create a product from nature to bring our customer’s a product that expresses a sense of harmony, beauty & vitality.

We use the finest ingredients from earths' garden of healing botanicals and organic ingredients to restore balance in the individuals' skin, mind & spirit. Our products are infused with healing vibrations from flower essences and positive vibrations in their manufacture. Through the ancient art of aromatherapy that vibration is introduced into the body to stimulate their immune system and sense of wellbeing.

We are opposed to animal testing and do not use animal products in our range apart from natural beeswax. Our packaging can be recycled and we embrace a safe manufacturing method that does not harm the environment. We avoid the use of synthetic ingredients, parabens and petroleum based ingredients to keep the body clear of carcinogens.

Our manufacture is done ‘in-house’ to maintain the integrity of a truly natural skin care product that is made of live active and organic ingredients. Our integrity is expressed in the quality of the product without compromise and in the quality of our business dealings with our customers and clients.

We express our joy of life through the art form of aromatherapy blending and bringing these live healing products to our customers.

ABOUT US

Bodyscents was founded by Linda Chatwin in the hills of Western Australia from the pure intention of creating beautiful natural products for my family and friends. It grew from the simple desire to express the beauty of nature in the ancient healing art form that was coined aromatherapy. I wanted others to connect back with their sense of smell as pleasure and be inspired by the power these concentrated botanicals can have over their health, immunity and skin vitality.

The joyous experience of ‘curing’ common ailments without the need for modern medicine was very empowering. Memories of university microbiology tests on dangerous microbes that could not withstand the use of many essential oil compounds were pointers down my road of choice into natural therapies.

After completing an aromatherapy and massage diploma (1996) many blends were made to counteract the differing needs involved with natural birthing methods and raising children without the dominance of antibiotics and other modern medicines. This became a burning passion and evolved into a viable business.

Bodyscents blends became sought after by friends, neighbours, family and friends of friends. I was now studying the use of vibrational essences and Bach flower remedies to aid the healing of the inner life of the individual. Flower remedies were then employed in the blending of our synergies and massage oils.

Working part-time from a local herbal shop practising massage, aromatherapy and consulting with clients on Bach remedies, the blends and now particularly the skin care products were growing in demand. Growing customer demand influenced the decision to take up lease of a small manufacturing unit to cope with the demand for the production of the products. Retailers were also now approaching us for supply.

Customers were requesting in-house demonstrations of this now growing range of skin care and healing products and the Bodyscents business was officially registered in 1998.

To satisfy my desire to trigger the body’s natural healing mechanisms to achieve a state of equilibrium in the individual and compliment my work as a natural therapist I completed a diploma in the original Bowen Technique. An Aura-Soma colour healing and metaphysical diploma was also completed in 2001.

It is my belief that the work I have undertaken so far, working as a natural practitioner has fully complimented the special range of Bodyscents aromatherapy products. It has given me a broad understanding of peoples’ needs and how their emotional state as well as other environmental stressors influences their health. That is why Bodyscents aromatherapy products are one of the most holistic skin care and healing product ranges that you will find on the market today. They are made not only with a great deal love and commitment to quality but with a deep desire to bring the user a sense of peace and tranquillity in their lives.

Our product range is still growing and changing from our own aromatherapy studio in Kalamunda, WA. From here the products are produced in our own lab and sold fresh to our clients and customers from front of shop. We also handle orders and distribute around the state to various clientele.

We offer blissful treatments from our studio treatment rooms including massage; pamper packages, facials, Bowen therapy etc. We take pride in using our beautiful products on our clients for their personal health and wellbeing.

We are committed to using the finest therapeutic and food grade ingredients to ensure the overall quality of our product and the effect on our customers.

Just as the early beginnings of Bodyscents were based on an inner desire to nurture, preserve, heal, relax, soothe and restore it is my hope that you will receive all of these blessings and more from using our live, natural skin food products.
